![]() ![]() December 3 - 19, 2025 In association with Bird’s Wildlife & Nature LTD Situated in South-east Asia, Thailand is a perfect destination to visit during the winter months. Nov – Jan is arguably the best time for birdwatching with the great variety of resident species boosted by a rich and varied influx of migrants from the Himalayas and northern Asia. From coastal marshes and mudflats teeming with shorebirds to vast lowland rainforest and montane evergreen forest we will be seeking some mouth-watering and dazzling species. This is also the time to look for one of the world's most enigmatic birds the unique Spoon-billed Sandpiper and we certainly have this in our sights along with other sought after shorebirds such as Asian Dowitcher and Nordmann’s Greenshank. At Chang Mai we will explore the mountain forests of Doi Inthanon for species such as Siamese Fireback, Great Hornbill and Banded Kingfisher, while Doi Ang Kang could produce the Giant Nuthatch and Mrs Hume’s Pheasant. Doi Lang will produce parrotbills, liocichlas, finchbills, and bushchats while Kaeng Krachan National Park and the famous resort of Baan Maka will provide fantastic opportunities for photography with feeders attracting species such as Scaly-breasted Partridge, Large Scimitar Babbler, Lesser Necklaced Laughingthrush, Kalij Pheasant, Siberian Blue Robin and Black-naped Monarch.
